UNITED STATES → BRAZIL
One partner for your expansion into Brazil
inovala helps U.S. companies enter, establish, and grow in Brazil
We bring strategy, legal structure, and local execution together under one roof
Expanding across borders is complex
It shouldn't be
You shouldn't have to become an expert in every market to grow in it. Brazil's regulations, institutions, and local nuances slow decisions, increase risk, and create unnecessary barriers. You need a partner who already knows the way.
Complex regulations
Brazil's tax and legal systems (ICMS, ISS, PIS/COFINS, LGPD) create confusion and costly delays
Limited access
Opening accounts, obtaining licenses, and ensuring compliance from afar is slow and uncertain
Operational friction
Running local operations from another country reduces focus and multiplies cost
No integrated support
Most providers solve one piece of the puzzle, not the whole journey
We exist to simplify complexity and accelerate revenue
inovala is a boutique advisory that helps U.S. companies establish and grow in Brazil through strategy, structure, and local execution. We combine deep local knowledge with a global perspective, anticipate risk, and clear the friction that slows market entry, so you reach revenue faster and on a foundation built to last. We stay by your side from first decision to full scale.

The advantages that drive better outcomes
Cross-border operational structure
One integrated team across the U.S. and Brazil, giving you aligned leadership on both sides of the border instead of a patchwork of disconnected vendors.
Practical, local presence
We are on the ground in Brazil, not advising from a distance, so guidance is grounded in how the market actually works and the details get handled in-country.
Long-term operational support
We stay engaged well past setup, supporting ongoing administration, compliance, and growth, so you are never left to navigate Brazil alone.
Bilingual, bicultural
We work natively in English and Portuguese and understand both business cultures, removing the communication gaps and missteps that derail cross-border expansion.
Experienced leaders. Cross-border expertise. Proven execution.
Tom Todd advises U.S. technology companies on entering and expanding in Brazil, one of the world's largest and most complex growth markets. He brings more than three decades of enterprise technology leadership and a rare operator's vantage point, having personally done what Inovala's clients set out to do. As Head of Latin America for Delphix, he led the company's entry into Brazil from the ground up, from initial market evaluation through local establishment, first commercial wins, and the partner network required to scale. He treats market entry not as an administrative exercise but as a senior leadership decision with consequences for revenue, risk, and timing. Working directly with C-level teams, Tom guides the full arc of expansion, from assessing the opportunity to building sustainable, profitable operations.
